Welcome to tropical city - there's a juicy guava and passion fruit when it's hot, switching into sweet apricot and starburst candies as it begins to cool. It's all had a nice drizzle of sweet and floral honey added, with a delicate black tea on the aftertaste.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER:

Founded in 1976, the Layo Teraga cooperative provides market access for its smallholder members that would otherwise not have existed in Guji, where prices for coffee have historically been lower than neighbouring Gedeo or Sidama zones because of this lack of market access.

Located in northern Uraga in the Guji zone, the 1841 smallholder members of the cooperative grow coffee in gardens around their homes in semi-forested environments at staggeringly high elevations of 2342 MASL. Farmers use the forest canopy as shade cover and grow their coffee alongside other crops.

The Layo Teraga Cooperative is responsible for some of the highest scoring coffees out of Uraga, Ethiopia.
