NICARAGUA Jerald Hoyes

In the early 2000, this farm's coffee was considered some of the region’s best. Receiving acclaim in the Cup of Excellence. Due to the unstable market, it was later abandoned in the early 2010's. Many workers were left unemployed and later found their way to Hoyes’ family farm to continue picking.

Jimmy Hoyes got financing from the bank to rebuild this farm in the fall of 2022. When possessed, the first matter of business is cleaning all the parasites and dangerous wildlife, including serving ant colonies and poisonous snakes. For the first harvest of 2023, the goal was to pick what was growing and cut old dead trees for regrowth.
